One-Stop-Shops - Integrated services for clean energy transition in private buildings

The main obstacle to renovating private homes is not always money but complexity: owners must navigate technical solutions, find contractors, obtain permits, arrange financing and oversee quality on their own. The 'one-stop-shop' model brings all of this together into a single service with a single entry point.

Official title: One-Stop-Shops - Integrated services for clean energy transition in private buildings

About the call

The main obstacle to renovating private homes is not always money but complexity: owners must navigate technical solutions, find contractors, obtain permits, arrange financing and oversee quality on their own. The 'one-stop-shop' model brings all of this together into a single service with a single entry point.

Objectives

To create, scale up and put on a path to financial sustainability integrated services supporting the renovation of private buildings.

What is funded

  • Technical advice and energy audits for building owners.
  • Selection, coordination and quality control of contractors.
  • Support in accessing subsidies, loans and other forms of financing.
  • Quality control of completed works.
  • Development of a business model for the service with a pathway to financial self-sustainability after the grant ends.
  • Coverage of different segments: single-family houses, multi-apartment buildings, homeowner associations, rented housing.

What evaluators focus on

The realism of the sustainability model: the service must continue to operate after the project ends. Quantitative targets - how many buildings will go through the service, what volume of investment will be triggered.

Conditions

  • Consortium: at least 3 applicants from 3 different countries.
  • Indicative grant amount: up to €2 million (check the exact amount on the topic page).
  • Typical applicants: municipalities, regions, energy agencies, housing associations, ESCOs, NGOs.
