About the call
The third priority area of the climate sub-programme and the smallest by budget - EUR 4 million. The call supports the development, implementation, monitoring and enforcement of EU climate legislation by improving governance, strengthening actors' capacity and engaging civil society.
Objectives
- Improve climate governance at all levels - from national to local.
- Strengthen the capacity of public and private actors to engage with climate policy.
- Involve civil society in shaping and implementing climate policies.
What is funded
- Support for national and local climate policies, plans and strategies.
- Development of monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) systems.
- Capacity building for administrations at various levels.
- Information campaigns and behavioural change initiatives.
- Climate education and awareness raising.
- Engaging citizens in climate governance, including through deliberative formats.
Conditions
- Call budget: EUR 4 million
- Co-financing rate: up to 60%
- Note: the smallest budget among SAP calls - realistically only a handful of projects will be funded
- Consortium: not mandatory
