About the call
A small grant with a single purpose - to prepare a high-quality application for a Strategic Nature Project (SNaP). This is a way to enter the largest LIFE project type step by step: first secure resources for preparation, then compete for the multi-million-euro SNaP. A logical first step for a public authority or organisation that does not yet have experience with large European projects.
Objectives
- Provide resources for the professional preparation of a future SNaP application.
- Improve the quality of strategic projects submitted in future rounds.
- Lower the entry barrier for countries and regions with less experience participating in LIFE.
What is funded
- Analysis of the state of implementation of Prioritised Action Frameworks (PAFs) at national or regional level.
- Stakeholder consultations and mapping of key actors.
- Development of the structure and logic of the future project.
- Engagement and formation of a partner consortium.
- Preliminary budget calculations and planning of the co-financing scheme.
- Legal and administrative preparation of the application.
Conditions
- Combined budget of all three TA-PP calls: EUR 1 million
- Grant size: small, indicatively up to EUR 70,000 per project - check the exact amount on the topic page
- Co-financing rate: up to 60%
- Duration: usually around 1 year
