We have published a video report from the info session «LIFE Programme - practical aspects of preparing an application and the experience of successful projects», held at Lviv Polytechnic National University. In five minutes, the video presents the key moments of the event and the main points covered by each speaker.
The hybrid session brought together around 50 participants, including representatives of national and local authorities, civil society, higher education institutions and other organisations considering applying to the LIFE Programme. Experienced practitioners shared what they had learned on the journey from an initial idea to project implementation.
What the session covered
Nazariy Andrushchak, Head of the Project Office at Lviv Polytechnic National University, explained the structure and logic of preparing an application for LIFE Calls 2026, partner requirements, the application document package and common applicant mistakes.
Olha Kots, Associate Professor at the Department of Finance of Lviv Polytechnic, discussed budget estimates and co-financing, the relationship between the budget and work plan, cost justification and the organisation's own contribution.
Volodymyr Vorobey, Director of PPV Economic Development Agency, shared the practical case of LIFE-U-SPRINGBOARD: the journey from an idea to building a consortium, the role of partners and recommendations for overcoming challenges.
Yuriy Polyanskyi, EU Projects Manager at the Institute of the City, presented successful cases involving Ukrainian organisations and discussed project management, consortium work and communication with partners.
Who should watch
The video is particularly useful for organisations considering an application to LIFE Calls 2026 that have not yet decided on their consortium role or level of own contribution. It does not replace a complete review of the programme requirements, but it provides a clear introduction to the application process and the issues to consider from the outset.
