Clean Energy Transition · Standard Action Project
MOSAIC
Mutualizing Organizations and Services for Advancing Inclusive Communities
About the project
MOSAIC addresses the uneven development of renewable energy communities across Europe, where supportive frameworks are concentrated in a few Member States and large areas lack clear guidance or institutional support, while umbrella organisations that could scale and coordinate local communities have no formal recognition. The project aims to strengthen the emergence, resilience and interconnection of renewable energy communities by building locally rooted support ecosystems, with all services co-designed with local stakeholders. It will establish and pilot Local Energy Action Points that support the creation and consolidation of communities, train their staff, community leaders and local stakeholders, create Policy Dialogue Tables linking communities with public authorities, and foster cooperation through brokerage events, twinning and the structured development of umbrella organisations. The most advanced pilot cases take part directly as consortium members.
