Clean Energy Transition · Standard Action Project
LIFE EUCF 3.0
LIFE European City Facility 3.0
About the project
LIFE EUCF 3.0 provides financial assistance and enhanced technical support to municipalities and their groupings to develop and implement investment concepts in sustainable energy, putting the European Green Deal into practice. Building on the Horizon 2020 phase (2019–2024) and LIFE EUCF (2022–2027), the facility consolidates and scales up a proven approach supporting the LIFE Clean Energy Transition sub-programme. It will deliver 185 investment concepts across 32 countries (EU Member States, Iceland, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Ukraine), anchored in sustainable energy and climate action plans, heating and cooling plans and plans of similar ambition. The facility strengthens municipal capacity through a learning programme, peer collaboration, exchanges, national round tables and advisory activities, and bridges cities to larger EU instruments such as ELENA, InvestEU and LIFE PDA.
