NS4nZEBs
New Skills for Nearly Zero Energy Buildings
About the project
EU policy puts strong emphasis on renewable energy and digital technologies in buildings as a means to cut greenhouse gas emissions, fully decarbonise the building stock by 2050 and respond to the energy crisis. NS4nZEBs addresses the gap between current skills and those needed in the future by increasing the number of building professionals qualified in photovoltaics, smart electrical systems, heat pumps and hydrogen technologies across design, operation and maintenance. The project develops new and updates existing training methods, curricula and qualification courses for both manual and professional occupations across the building value chain. Authorities, employers, end users and vocational training providers give feedback so that programmes match labour-market needs, and the consortium brings together experts from six countries.
